The Jane Austen Book Club

You don't have to know the books to be in the club.

Six Californians start a book club to discuss the works of Jane Austen, only to find their relationships -- both old and new -- begin to resemble 21st century versions of her novels.

Unlike my last review, I'm not going to judge this film by the tagline, which lets face it is a bit rubbish. Hypocrite! I hear you yell, but if 'In The Land of Women' had been an iceberg, the rubbish tagline would've been the slushy, dirty, crumbly snow bit of a really tiny not properly formed iceberg. Whereas the tagline for 'The Jane Austen Book Club' is merely the not so attractive sticky out that hits boats of a considerably large, rather sturdy iceberg. Anyhow, I digress ...

First impressions do still count
